"Greed, as a rule, does not lead to good things..." - Yaroslav Byrin, FBS Holdings Inc.
Y. A.: Hello, Yaroslav. Please tell us a little about yourself. How did it happen that you became acquainted with stock trading?
Я. B.: Good afternoon Yulia and readers of ForTrader magazine! My name is Yaroslav Byrin and I am the Head of Client Relationship Department at FBS Holdings Inc.
I got into trading while still studying at university. I traded first on demo accountIn 2004, I even took part in the All-Russian contest for the title of "Best Trader" among QUIK-Junior users, in which I managed to take first place. It was then that I thought that working on the stock exchange could become my profession.
What attracted me to this field? Probably the opportunities... Many of you probably remember the advertisement in which a trader sits with his laptop on the ocean shore and earns not his first million. Of course, this is a slightly hypertrophied situation, but in essence it is true. A trader, like no one else, can feel himself a cosmopolitan - he is independent of space and time of day. Thanks to his favorite work he feels comfortable in any city, in any country of the world. He is financially independent.
Y. A.: Exchange trading is becoming more and more part of our lives - many people know about it or are holders of certain securities. In your opinion, why has speculation become popular in Russia now?
Я. B.: In my opinion, exchange trading became popular in our country rather late. This happened for at least two reasons. First, the level of development of information technologies in Russia
the reason is the unstable situation in the country. The August putsch of 1991, the events of October 1993, and, finally, the default of 1998 significantly affected the solvency of the population. The majority of Russians simply did not have free money, so the question of where to invest their savings did not arise. Now, when the economic situation in our country has normalized, people began to think not only about how to save, but also how to multiply their capital. I believe that this was the impetus for the development of speculation in Russia.
Y. A.: Which exchanges are interesting for you and why?
Я. B.: I am certainly interested in FOREX. First of all, because the average turnover per day on this market is about 4 trillion dollars and is constantly growing, the consequence of which is its low dependence on certain large investors (companies, banks), unlike the stock market. An indicative example is almost complete refusal of the Bank of Japan from currency interventions (a few years ago the Bank actively used this tool to change the yen exchange rate). This happened due to the low efficiency of this measure, as the impact on the exchange rate became insignificant.
Y. A.: What do you dislike about the structure of exchange or OTC trading or would you like to change?
Я. B.: I believe that the main problems in the organization of both exchange and OTC trading are the lack of unified standards and difficulties with taxation. That is why I would like to see a single international regulatory system (body) for exchanges in different countries, and ideally for all financial markets.
Y. A.: In your opinion, can anyone become a trader?
Я. B.: Of course, anyone can become a trader. To do this, you just need to open an account with one of the brokerage companies. But not everyone will be a successful trader. You need to have a certain character, mindset and qualities....
Y. A.: What qualities should a trader possess to become a professional?
Я. B.: Becoming a professional is difficult in any field, trading on financial markets is no exception. First of all, a person must be stress-resistant, i.e. control his emotions and not make hasty decisions. Rationality is also important for success, when you already have a mini business plan before opening a certain deal.
Y. A.: Many people think that trading on the stock exchange is either a frivolous business or a scam. What can you say about this?
Я. B.: I think that the vast majority of these people have simply never been involved with trading on the stock exchange (laughs). As for me, I don't consider it a game by any means. Trading - it's a full-time job that requires a lot of skills, knowledge.
Y. A.: What is the most common mistake you think traders make?
to weigh your decisions.
Another mistake is greed. I would like to take this opportunity to address all traders with an admonition: "Guys, do not try to get huge profits at once. Greed, as a rule, does not lead to good things...".
Y. A.: Why should traders work with your company?
Я. B.: FBS Holdings is a dynamically developing company that came to the brokerage market to provide its clients with high-quality and reliable trading. We understand perfectly well that if a trader becomes our client, we have to do everything in our power to make sure that he/she is satisfied with the results of working with us. Therefore, one of the main principles of FBS is personal attitude to each client.
Now our company provides traders with a large number of bonus offers and promotions. One of them is "Evaluate the advantages of FBS". The essence of the promotion is very simple - when opening a "Micro" account, a trader gets a free bonus of 5 dollars (without entering his own money) and an excellent opportunity to evaluate the advantages of trading on a real FBS account.
Y. A.: You must have had some funny situations with clients during your work in the Dealing Center (Broker). Without naming names, could you share one with us?
Я. B.: Of course, there have been various situations. The funny pictures that some clients send when authorizing instead of a scanned passport don't count anymore (laughs).
A recent "joke" was a call from a client with the following content: "I've heard that you help you become rich. Help me too. I have no trading experience yet, but my goal is to make a million...". Now this trader is working on our demo account and we regularly advise him on trading. Who knows, perhaps, when he gains enough experience and chooses his strategy, he will be able to earn the coveted sum.
Y. A.: What advice would you give to newcomers to the stock exchange?
Я. B.: I would like to wish beginner traders patience, diligence and, of course, good luck. As they say, a favorable trend and Finance! Freedom! Success!
