Camiseaé gas field makes friends with environmentalists

Peru's Camisea project gas field can be used as a model for gas development in the Amazon basin, according to the environmental journal Nature.

How did the gas producers please the environmentalists? It is not only that there are no leaks from pipelines, but that there are no roads!
The largest gas and oil project in the jungles of Cusco (Malvina) is not connected to the outside world by highways. The gas and oil will go through underground pipes and the staff will use air transportation to communicate with the "big earth". To understand why this is so important, we can compare this project with the neighboring region of Madre de Dios. There, in recent years, a lot of roads have been built, resulting in an influx of illegal immigrants and turning a once dense forest into a lunar landscape. To avoid such things in the Amazon, environmentalists, industrialists, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations have partnered to introduce a bill that would follow the "Malvinas" model.
Proponents of the "roadless" model point out that it will protect tribes in the Amazon basin and prevent social conflict with the indigenous population.
