China imposes duties on new foreign cars from the US


Today, automakers General Motors, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Honda heard bad news from China.

A decision has been made to impose duties on vehicles imported from the US ranging from 2% to 21.5%.
China's Ministry of Commerce said they will be introduced over two years and will affect imported cars with engine displacement of more than 2.5 liters.
This decision is a continuation of the trade war with the United States. Earlier, the Americans restricted imports of Chinese tires and solar panels, in response to the imposition of duties on chickens, steel from the United States, state subsidies for the production of wind turbines.
