What is the bid price (Bid price)?

Bid price - The bid price, or the highest price at which an investor is ready to buy an asset: a stock, currency, or other security. In fact, the bid price is the existing price at which the trader is ready to sell his asset.

What is the Bid price for?

In the over-the-counter Forex market, the Bid price along with at the cost of asking is reflected in the bilateral quotation and is the smaller of the two.

Bid price is used to open sell trades as well as to close buy trades.

The difference between ask and bid is called the spread. In the trading terminal MetaTrader 4, the asset price chart is drawn at the bid price.

Which orders are executed at bid price?

When making a trading plan and trading on the currency market, you must remember that the following orders will be executed at the bid price:

  • Sell
  • SellLimit
  • SellStop
  • StopLoss
  • TakeProfit for buy positions
