In order to change (or set, if there is no password) the investor password in the MetaTrader 4 terminal, you will need to use the following instructions. It should be noted in advance that you will also need the trading password for the trading account you are interested in. It is necessary to have it at hand.
So, open an MT4 terminal, connect to your trading account and follow the instructions.
1. Go to the menu Service
2. In the Service menu go to Settings
3. In the opened window click the tab Server
4. On the tab that opens, click on the button Change
5. The Change Password dialog box opens
5.1 In this window you will need to enter your shopping password
5.2 Change the choice to change the trading password to change the investor password
5.3 Make up a password containing lowercase, uppercase letters and numbers, with a minimum length of 5 characters
For example: 1Abcd.
When the password is successfully changed, the password change window closes automatically.
