This type of recession results from the increased distrust of the consumer population, entrepreneurs and capital holders. It is a consequence of decreased purchasing activity, decreased investment and decreased value of securities. This type of economic recession can be overcome quite easily by regaining the confidence of buyers, which is done by reducing prices, interest rates and by implementing various psychological techniques in practice.

  • Recession as a consequence of a country's external debts

As a result of such debt, there is a decline in prices and an outflow of money from the country. Such a recession is recognized as the most dangerous and can last for many years.

Characteristic signs of recession are:

  • Gradual, without sharp jumps, increase in the unemployment rate.
  • Industrial output is falling, but companies are functioning, producing at lower volumes.
  • Falling stock indices.
  • Rising inflationary indicators.
  • Growth of capital outflow abroad.
