MA Candles Channel Trading Strategy

MA Candles Channel Trading Strategy is built on a channel of two moving averages and uses to determine entry points Price Action trading tactics.

Input parameters

• Currency pairs: any, recommended: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/CHF, GBP/JPY, EUR/JPY
• Timeframe: M30 and higher.
• Bidding time: any.
• Risk Management: After calculating the stop-loss, choose such a volume of the lot that the risk was no more than 2-5% of the deposit per trade.

• SMA (233);
• SMA (56);
• MA Candles Channel (9, 34);
• Stochastic histogram (14,3,3)

Installing indicators and strategy template

1. Unpack the archive with templates and indicators.
2. Copy the indicators to the folder MQL4 -> indicators.
3. Copy the templates into the templates folder.
4. Restart the terminal.
5. Open the chart of the desired currency pair.
6. Set the template with the name MA Channel.

The schedule should look like this:

Signals indicating the opening of a long position (buying)

• The price broke through the upper boundary of both channels.
• The bar graph shows a green bar.
• Stop Loss is set under the nearest local minimum (or on the upper border of one of the channels).

Signals indicating the opening of a short position (sale)

• The price broke through the lower boundary of both channels.
• The bar graph shows a red bar.
• Stop-loss is placed over the nearest local maximum (or on the lower border of one of the channels).

MA Candles Channel Trading Strategy has quite simple rules and, according to experts of fortrader.org magazine, is suitable even for beginning traders. More experienced traders can experiment with moving averages and the Stochastic histogram indicator, trying different settings or replacing them with more advanced analogues.
