Roman Marchenko, director of the Moscow office of FOREX MMCIS group- Hello! Please introduce yourself. How did it happen that you got acquainted with stock trading?

- Good afternoon. My name is Roman Marchenko, I am the director of the Moscow representative office of the FOREX MMCIS group. My acquaintance with foreign exchange market I started trading in the already distant year of 1998. Immediately after graduation I got a job as a financial analyst, and a year later I started trading on my own. Of course there were difficulties, but I was constantly working on myself. As a result - rapid career growth, and today I am at the head of the Russian branch of one of the world's leading brokers.

- Exchange trading is becoming more and more a part of our lives - many people know about or are holders of certain securities. In your opinion, why in Russia and other CIS countries has speculation become popular now?

- It is easy to explain the attractiveness of working in the foreign exchange market - it is a really profitable occupation. In the West and in the USA, trading has long occupied a place in the rating of the most popular professions. And since business is increasingly moving to the Internet and it is possible to trade in a reputable company even without leaving home, CIS traders have become actively involved in this international trend. In fact, trading on the Internet is a personal business, which does not require serious investments or a stationary workplace. Agree that many people dream of such a job.

- Which exchanges are of interest to you and why?

- I think you won't be surprised if I answer that I am an advocate of the foreign exchange market. It really has more advantages compared to, for example, stock exchanges. Firstly, the twenty-four-hour operation of the currency market allows the currency trader to choose his own schedule. Secondly, the high liquidity market . Just think, the daily money turnover is about 4 trillion U.S. dollars.

- What don't you like about the structure of exchange or OTC trading or what would you like to change?

- When I took my first steps in trading I wanted to try everything at once. But at that time it was almost unrealistic - many brokers had a very limited set of trading instruments. Now this problem is solved. In particular, clients of our company have a choice of more than 100

of the effort involved.

- What qualities should a trader have in order to become a professional?

I think that the most necessary qualities are persistence, diligence, patience and endurance. At least, it is thanks to them that I achieved success.

- Many people think that trading on the exchange market is either a frivolous business or a fraud. What do you have to say about it?

- This is often said by those who have not encountered trading on the exchange, or by those who have had bad experiences in such activities. Quite often people lose money due to their inattention or inexperience, and think they have been cheated. - This is not a casino, but a serious financial mechanism. Look at the Forbes rating - the names of world-renowned traders are also there.

- In your opinion, what is the most common mistake traders make?

- The main mistake is unwillingness to limit yourself. Let me explain: after working on a demo account, where not only profits, but also losses are expressed in virtual money, often traders are literally infected with self-confidence and forget to put a stop-loss and Take Profit. And it still needs to be done.

- Why traders should work with your company?

- The answer is obvious. After all, it is us who offer the most favorable working conditions. The worst thing is that on a site like this there is an interview where they tell us how to live - "The foreign exchange market must be conquered" - as long as these people exist............-it cannot be done.
