Denmark in first place

The world ranking of Cleantech ("Cleantech") has dispelled the Shakespearean myth that something is amiss in the Danish kingdom.

Denmark currently provides the best environment for cleantech out of the five nominee countries: Israel, Sweden, Finland and the USA.
At the initial stage, 38 countries around the world were assessed based on 15 indicators related to the production and commercialization of clean technologies. Each country's potential was examined: how the economy is linked to the adoption of cleantech in start-up companies, as well as the commercialization of cleantech innovations over the next 10 years. "This ranking shows that some countries are on the right track, but much more needs to be done if we are to approach the challenge of climate change and ensure a transition to a 100 percent renewable energy future," said Samantha Smith, leader of the World Wildlife Fund and Energy Initiative.
