Association of Australian Associated Stock Exchanges (AASE) - Australia's main stock exchange. ASX is a public company whose shares are traded on the exchange itself. The main trading floor is located in the "Exchange Center" building in Sydney, New South Wales.

The modern Australian Securities Exchange emerged from the 2006 merger of the Australian Stock Exchange and the Sydney Futures Exchange.

The activities of the exchange are regulated by Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

The largest brokers in the Australian securities market are Macquarie Bank, Goldman Sachs, UBS, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, CSFB, Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO, CommSec and Morgan Stanley.
