Forex Expert Advisor Vzlomshik Pro - a Grail for overclocking or a dangerous Martingale?

Not so long ago on our forum and other similar sites began to renew interest in the Expert Advisor with a rather pretentious name - Hacked or in the original Forex Hacked. Traders have again decided to return to the idea of rapid acceleration of the deposit at the expense of the Martingale strategy, pointing to the serious capabilities of this robot in this matter.

What is special about this strategy, and how the author managed to crack the market ? Let's get to the bottom of it.

A bit about Vzlomschik trading robot

First of all, Vzlomschik robot uses three scalping strategies in trading simultaneously. Although no, "strategies" is too loud a word. In fact, the entry direction is determined by RSI indicator with hard-coded parameters. But should we be picky about it, if this is just the beginning for Martingale?

According to the author, Forex Hacked is probably the best EA that uses the Martingale method. The robot does have quite a large number of settings for position management, regulating the number of orders and ways to calculate the lot. So, if you have a weakness for optimization, this Expert Advisor can please you and occupy your PC for a couple of days.

Testing the Forex Hacked Expert Advisor on history

For the most unbiased testing of the Expert Advisor "Hacker" we will try to adhere to the standard author's settings as much as possible. We have an MT4 terminal with history from MetaQuotes, as well as a demo account at 10 000 leveraged 1:100.

The developer of the trading expert insists on using the H1 timeframe (considering the rigidly set parameters - very justified) and recommends GBPUSD as the most optimal pair. Since the Expert Advisor has a lot of input parameters, we will use ready-made sets.

We will test for the last five years. There is no point in doing a deeper test, since the earliest monitoring on the Expert Advisor developer's website dates back to 2011. This means that the author of the strategy had enough time to optimize the Expert Advisor before that time and create a commercially successful Grail.

As we can see, despite the decisive growth, in the long term, the Vzlomschik Expert Advisor inexorably tends to drain. There are prospects, of course, but such trading is for those who love hard extreme or super small deposits and a great desire to multiply it. It's practically a casino!

To be finally convinced of the "potential" of the strategy, pay attention to the values of profit and drawdown - maximum drawdown is almost 4 times the annual profitability!

For completeness of the picture and purity of the experiment, let's consider the tests on EURUSD and USDJPY for the same period.

Here the deposit didn't hold up at all. Nothing to discuss.

And if you withdraw the profits...?

There are traders who only say that by trading with Martingale, you will definitely drain your deposit. But even more often you can see a recommendation or advice that the solution is to periodically withdraw profits from the account. Ideally, it should minimize possible losses from the drain. But how true this theory is and whether you can really earn in this way is a big question.

Unfortunately, you won't find any clear rules on how and when you should withdraw profits. Usually it's about withdrawals once a week, two weeks, depending on the moon phase or the rotation speed of Saturn's rings 🙂 🙂

Partly because of this, partly because the MT4 tester does not support the withdrawal function, we will take the statement "withdraw profit" as literally as possible and try to imitate it by achieving a floating loss. That is, when a loss equal to the size of our virtual deposit is reached, all trades on the account will be closed, after which trading will continue as if nothing had happened. To do this, we will add the corresponding function to the Expert Advisor code and conduct a small optimizationin order to find out the potential of the idea described.

We have to admit that the optimization results surprised us a bit. We got the best result for all criteria with a deposit of 700$. What is interesting is that on the graph we see an almost inversely proportional relationship between the amount of profit and the size of our virtual deposit (from left to right - deposit increase).

Separately, a test chart with a loss limit of $700:

Of course, the test is not perfect, but it is quite sufficient to test the validity of the theory. As we can see, the miracle did not happen, and the best result from the sample showed about zero. At the same time, the drawdown has significantly decreased. But, it should be taken into account that this is the result of a hypothetical test obtained as a result of optimization, and on a real account one should not expect even such a result.

Conclusion

You can't argue with math, the martingale is an extremely voracious creature. The only thing that can somehow prolong the life of your Martingale is a large deposit. Attempts to transfer this pet to a reduced diet will not lead to success.

Counselor "Hacker" is ideal for accelerating a bonus account, or any account where you do not use your own savings for trading. Only in this case the theory of probability starts working for you, and it makes sense to withdraw profits when the payback level is reached. In other cases, however, it is a very dangerous and not the most profitable venture.

  1. Somebody just decided to try to make a buck selling this Hakeda, so they made a big deal out of it. I don't think it's a good idea. And after the above test results, it's obvious that it's bound to fail.

  2. In general, without this advisor, trading using the Martingale method is very dangerous, because the constant increase in bets will quickly destroy the deposit.

  3. You can talk a lot about martin's drain, but I made my first and only money on a robot with the same principle. From 100$ for 5 months I withdrew a little more than 2000$ and then drained 3000$ Now I trade using a strategy that includes this principle. True with limitations of lot volumes and their number. And I close part of positions with my hands. From the middle of summer until now the deposit has been increased more than five times. In case of increasing drawdown, I add stop orders to save the deposit. In short, I already have a whole strategy mixed with martin and grid. At the same time on one account there are two robots with different settings with turning off the directions and limiting the lotness and number of orders. With the pickup of manual orders. In summary, you can trade.

    1. Alexey, thank you for your comment. We also believe that you can make money with any strategy if you know how to handle it correctly. Including Martingale. And it is stated in the review. However, to a greater extent, our warnings concern those traders who do not know how to work properly with such a robot. For them, we have shown what will happen if you put the robot and forget about it.

  4. I made an attempt to use it with other settings.work is carried out only three hours a day from 19.00 to 22.00.take profit 5 points, the coefficient of increase 1.25, the initial lot 0.02, every 2 points.quite good work in the tester showed.I will try in real life.
