The Trend/ENTRY strategy - a profitable trending system
Trend/ENTRY strategy is designed to trade on the trend. It has a high profitability in the presence of pronounced trend movements, but gives signals to enter and during the sideways dynamics of the currency pair.
Input parameters
- Currency pair: any, recommended EUR/USD, GBP/USD
- Time frame: any, H4 is recommended
- Trading hours: 24 hours a day
- Type of strategy: Indicator, Trend
Used indicators
- True Trend (chart - Trend CCI, blue line - ENTRY CCI)
- Simple moving average with a period of 160
Conditions for entering a long position
- Price is above the moving average
- The Trend CCI chart is green, the blue ENTRY CCI line has entered the positive zone from the bottom up
- Buy entry is made at the opening of the next candle
- Stop Loss in the strategy is constant and equal to 80 points
- As long as the Trend CCI chart is green, you can buy every time the ENTRY CCI line returns to the positive zone
- It is recommended to move the stop to Breakeven after the price has passed 60 pips
Conditions for entering a short position
- Price is under the moving average
- The Trend CCI chart is red, the blue ENTRY CCI line is in the negative zone from top to bottom
- Entry into the sale is made at the opening of the next candle
- Stop-loss in the strategy is constant and equal to 80 points
- As long as the Trend CCI chart is red, you can enter the trade every time the ENTRY CCI line returns into negative territory
- It is recommended that the foot be moved to Breakeven After the price has passed 60 pips
Additions to the Trend/ENTRY strategy
- Do not enter a trade immediately after a trend change if the color of the Trend CCI does not match it
- If the line ENTRY CCI went against the trend direction, but returned without touching the level of 40 (-40), it is not necessary to enter the trade
- It is not recommended to open more than four positions in the zone of plus or minus 10 points
According to ForTrader.org experts, instead of H4 timeframe, other intervals can be used, but it should be remembered that the number of signals will decrease or increase depending on the timeframe size.
