Trading system rating script for assessing the effectiveness of a trading strategy
Trading system rating script is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of trading strategy .
Data for evaluating a trading strategy can be presented in two forms:
- the history of the account on which the script is running;
- report file.
The Trading system rating script can use the following types of report files:
- short report. By default, the terminal creates it with the name Statement.htm.
- DetailedStatement.htm.
- report file strategy tester - StrategyTester.htm.
To estimate the report file, the existing file must be moved to the terminal directory MQL4\Files before running the script, and the file name must be specified in the second parameter.
The Trading system rating script evaluates the effectiveness of a trading strategy using two methods:
- the methodology proposed by Van Tharp in his book "The Super Trader. How to make money on the stock market under any conditions;
- Sortino quotient.
The value of the calculated estimate is interpreted as follows:
- less than 0.16 is very low quality,
- 0.16 to 0.20 - low;
- 0.20 to 0.25 - average;
- 0.25 to 0.30 is good;
- 0.30 to 0.50 is excellent;
- 0.50 to 0.70 is excellent;
- from 0.70 and more - the Grail;
