- Hello. Please introduce yourself. How did it happen that you got acquainted with stock trading?

– Здравствуйте. Меня зовут Раннев Дмитрий Викторович. Я восемь лет проработал в компании «Альпари», последняя должность – Операционный директор. Сейчас являюсь Генеральным директором компании GKFX.

I got to know about trading in 2001, when I got a spam message on my mail with the message "Trading at the Exchange is Easy", which offered to buy Bill Williams' trading strategy and promised to earn "big money". There was also a list of brokers, with brief characteristics (are there any demo accounts etc.). Of course, I didn't buy anything, but I chose several companies with demo accounts from the list, and tried trading. I liked it and started to analyze it further. And so I got interested.

- Exchange trading is becoming more and more a part of our life - many people know about it or are holders of certain securities. In your opinion, why is speculation popular in Russia and the CIS countries now?

– Я думаю, это потому, что интернет все больше входит в нашу жизнь, а с ним и более качественная реклама, которая затрагивает большую аудиторию. Раньше интернет был редкостью, а сейчас он есть у всех. Сложно быть пользователем интернета и ни разу не услышать о е. Торговля на бирже или е очень интересная тема, и она манит многих. А наша цель – дать людям такой , чтобы они не разочаровались.

- Which markets are interesting for you and why?

– Мне лично больше всего интересен . Я пробовал торговать на фондовых рынках: и на российском, и на западных, и это меня как-то не впечатлило. мне нравится больше. Я приверженец автоматической торговли, а для этого на е все есть, к тому же, все легко и доступно: не надо делать никаких лишних движений, просто открывай терминал, запускай редактор и пиши автоматические системы.

- What don't you like about the structure of exchange or OTC trading or would you like to change?

– В биржевой системе мне не нравится сложность. Сложно открыть счет, сложно отправить деньги (особенно большие), еще не нравится сессионность. На е не нравится непрозрачность. Чтобы не быть обманутым, надо много знать и постоянно все контролировать. Свою компанию я пытаюсь построить по такому принципу, чтобы трейдеры не тратили свое время и нервы на контроль и постоянную борьбу с компанией, чтобы понимали, что тут их не обманут и что тут можно торговать спокойно.

- In your opinion, can anyone become a trader?

Yes, anyone. But not many people can become a profitable trader. To become successful, you have to understand that everything is not so simple and that you have to study and understand a lot. To do this you need to read what experienced people write, including the heads of companies, because the important information is not available, you can only get it from someone who has "eaten the dog" or is on the other side of the monitor. But even the words of authority figures and representatives of brokers need to be considered, because there is a lot of slyness, and not everything sounds logical.

- What qualities should a trader have in order to become a professional?

Must have professionalism. Many qualities must be present, and most of them are not given immediately, but come with time. I've seen people who carry money around for years and lose it without making any conclusions. Most traders treat trading like a game or like a one-armed bandit, they never become professionals either. A professional has a trading strategy with formalized rules, he doesn't expect big quick profits, he understands how the market works and understands how companies work.

- Many people consider trading on the exchange market to be either a frivolous business or a scam. What do you have to say about it?

– А многие зарабатывают деньги, и очень большие. Обмана хватает, но опытные трейдеры его легко определяют еще до того, как отправляют в компанию деньги. Учиться, учиться и еще раз учиться, как завещал «великий» Ленин.

- In your opinion, what is the most common mistake traders make?

– Не делают выводов. Это может и не самая явная ошибка, но она может привести к потерям, которые не прекращаются годами.

- Why traders should work with your company?

– Первое: мы честная компания, и вся наша работа построена так, чтобы показать нашу честность. У нас могут случаться сбои и другие проблемы (ничего идеального не существует), но мы никого не обманываем, не вставляем палки в колеса и не берем себе ничего лишнего.

- Surely you have had some funny situations with clients during your work at the Dealing Center (Broker). Without mentioning any names, could you share one with us?

– Было забавное время, когда в Альпари функционировал дилинговый зал. Некоторые трейдеры там просто жили, ходили в тапочках, питались из термосов и ни на секунду (образно) не отрывали глаз от монитора. Т.е. они ничего не делали, не анализировали, а просто сидели и гипнотизировали котировки. Если цена шла в их сторону, они с умным видом ходили по залу, громко весело разговаривали и были очень общительными, если не в их сторону, то с обреченным видом пялились в монитор, как зомби, и ждали, когда же судьба повернется к ним лицом. Сейчас таких залов уже нет, но я уверен, что многие точно так же сидят по домам. Поэтому у трейдера есть задача не только стать профессионалом, но и не превратиться в зомби.

- What advice would you give to newcomers to the exchange?

– Не верить всему тому, что с ними происходит в первый год торговли. На втором году они начнут понимать, что не так все просто.

Prepare to lose deposit after deposit, and understand that this is not just a loss, but a fee for learning.

Read forums, gain experience, try all possible strategies and types of analysis, until they feel that they have found their own. Then they refine it into a specific strategy. The strategy must be fully formalized (clear rules of entry, exit and retention). If there is intuition in the strategy, with a high probability, it will fail.
