Alpari bought Alpari or brand revival
In a follow-up to the scandalous story about the insolvency and possible bankruptcy of Alpari's UK office after events on February 15 news about the acquisition of part of the intellectual property and trademark of Alpari UK by the company's main shareholder and founder, Andrey Dashin. This follows the decision of the interim managers from KPMG to sell the company piecemeal.
Thus, Mr. Dashin took over the company's trademarks, as well as domain names in all EU, African, Asian, North and South American countries. This move, he said, is the first in a series of many that are united in the idea of revitalizing and multiplying the Alpari brand, including and especially in the fastest-growing and emerging financial markets of Southeast Asia.
As a reminder, KPMG is holding on to other profitable parts of the company, including £100m ($153m) in Alpari UK customer deposits. Negotiations are underway with other companies willing to carry these liabilities on their balance sheets.
Anyway, now the situation with Alpari UK raises more questions than it answers.
