Most UK pensioners leave so they don't have to pay heating bills.

According to insurance companies, the average retiree will live on $41 a week.

The UK government has announced that pensioners' heating allowances will be reduced by 25 % to $300.
More than half of British pensioners eligible for the Winter Heating Allowance (up to 1951) live in France, Spain and Cyprus where it is traditionally warmer and the allowance can be used for other purposes.
