Statment (Statement, trade report) in MT4

Statment (Statement) - This is the official detailed report on trading activity at market generated by the trading terminal.

How to make a Statment in MT4?

  • go to the "Account History" tab;
  • right-click to call the context menu;
  • click "Save as an itemized report".

The statment will be available in the folder in which it was installed MetaTrader 4 terminal, in the file DetailedStatement.

Statment indicators

In addition to the trading history, the Statment includes the following indicators:

  • Gross Profit - the total profit of positive trades;
  • Gross Loss - the total loss of negative trades;
  • Total Net Profit - the difference between the total profit and the total loss;
  • Profit Factor - Profit Factor, which shows the ratio of Gross Profit to Gross Loss. The value of the Profit Factor from 2 to 5 is a sign of successful trading;
  • Expected Payoff - mathematical expectation of profit;
  • Absolute Drawdown - the so-called "drawdown", which shows how much the original balance has decreased;
  • Maximal Drawdown - the maximum recorded loss, expressed in monetary units, relative to the opening balance;
  • Total Trades - indicator that displays the number of closed transactions;
  • Short Positions (won%) - the number of short trades made, in brackets - the percentage of profitable ones;
  • Long Positions (won%) - the number of made long deals, in brackets - the percentage of profitable deals;
  • Profit Trades (% of total) - the number and percentage of positive transactions;
  • Loss Trades (% of total) - the number and percentage of negative transactions;
  • Largest Profit Trade - trade with the maximum profit;
  • Largest Loss Trade - trade with the maximum loss;
  • Average Profit Trade - indicator that expresses the average profit on trades (Gross Profit\Profit Trades);
  • Average Loss Trade - indicator expressing the average loss on transactions (Gross Loss\Loss Trades);
  • Maximum Consecutive Wins ($) - the longest sequence of positive trades (the total profit of the sequence in brackets);
  • Maximum Consecutive Losses ($) - the longest sequence of negative trades (the total loss of the sequence in brackets);
  • Maximal Consecutive Profit (count) - maximal profit in the longest sequence of positive trades (the number of trades in the sequence is given in brackets);
  • Maximal Consecutive Loss (count) - maximal loss in the longest sequence of negative trades (the number of trades in the sequence is given in brackets);
  • Average Consecutive Wins - the average value of a series of positive trades;
  • Average Consecutive Wins - the average value of a series of negative trades.
