Visiting FxPro: How ForTrader.org Journalists Visited Cyprus (Beginning)
That a broker must and does work transparently and honestly, our traders are told by representatives of each company in forum threads и ranked. However, not everyone is ready to reveal their secrets if you ask questions. Recently, by special invitation, members of the editorial staff of ForTrader.org visited the main office of FxPro in Cyprus, where several friendly and affable employees - Jan, Vasily, Dmitry and Janos - answered absolutely all our questions, even very inconvenient ones, and openly and clearly explained and showed how dealing in FxPro.
"Guys, we're not your competitors, we're journalists!"
On the way to the main office of the company, we were somewhat surprised at how far it was from the center of Limossol. At one point I even felt like calling and saying, "Guys, we're not your competitors, we're journalists! Why are we going to the industrial area of the city?" :). However, all ended well and we got to the office successfully.
It turned out that to expand the area of the room and the number of employees working, the most convenient place was the industrial area, which allowed to independently design and build a convenient large and completely autonomous office.
A completely self-contained FxPro office
When I say "completely autonomous," I mean significant security office and the company's clients from emergencies. According to our "guides", the office has two independent power generators, which are instantly switched on in case the building is de-energized. In addition, there is a separate place where the dealing department - the heart of FxPro - can move quickly in case of emergency.
"Well, if there is an earthquake and Cyprus goes under water," laughs Dmitry, "the work of dealing is automatically picked up by the office in England, so the client won't even notice it."
The company's teamwork is, first and foremost, the people
For the safety of customers everything is done - we saw it with our own eyes. But the coordinated work of the company is, above all, the people working as a team, so the company's main office has everything necessary for the comfortable work of employees. I have already said that the space is vast - it has three spacious floors. Each department is in its own separate part of the office and does not interfere with the work of its neighbors.
There are the traditional departments: support in different languages for the convenience of customers; technicians, monitoring the stability of the service; of course, dealing with a huge number of monitors and frankly bored staff - everything happens automatically; marketers, thinking up next services for the convenience of traders, and an unusual quantum department, where in secrecy (we were not even allowed in the room) is developing and testing new trading strategies, advisors and managers, presented in the project SuperTrader.
A total of 120 to 150 people work in the office at different times. There are a lot of employees, the work is important and often monotonous and laborious. That is why it is important to have opportunities for relaxation. In the morning before work and in the evening after the shift, the most popular place in the FxPro office is the gym, equipped with everything you need.
During the day, of course, the first positions are taken by the dining room, where a great chef, specially invited from a prestigious 5-star hotel, cooks for everyone in several meals. In addition, there are small offices for private work or a chance to think, and a common lounge with racks for all sorts of awards and prizes, as well as sofas for chatting over a cup of coffee.
By the way, the cold Cypriot coffee at FxPro makes great! 🙂
If we return to the workspace, I would like to mention the very comfortable rooms for meetings and brainstorming - spacious, with everything you need to visualize your ideas. Very comfortable!
After spending some time with the company's employees, you understand that these are people with experience, knowledge and ambition who can and do good service. The atmosphere in the office is very conducive to this, which is not unimportant.
