The U.S. Federal Reserve again raises the issue of quantitative easing

During the September meeting. US FEDERAL RESERVE Some participants expressed the view that it is necessary to resume bond purchases, i.e. to start a new wave of quantitative easing. This instrument is estimated as a powerful measure to support the national economy.

Despite these ideas, the outcome of the meeting FED was the decision to slightly change the structure of the bond portfolio in favor of longer securities. However, members of the Open Market Committee agreed that studying possible ways to combat the economic downturn by introducing monetary policy instruments would remain a priority.
