Visual MACD indicator - modification of the classic indicator for trend trading

Visual MACD indicator is a modification of standard MACD indicator MetaTrader 4 platform.

In contrast to the classic indicator, Visual MACD is not displayed in the "basement", but directly on the price chart of the currency pair in the form of shaded areas, the color of which corresponds to the position of the histogram of the standard indicator relative to the zero line.

Another difference between the Visual MACD indicator and the standard one is the presence of a second signal line.

Using Visual MACD indicator in trading

Visual MACD indicator does not allow to recognize divergences, but it is excellent as a trend indicator.

• The greater the distance between moving averages (signal lines), the wider the shaded area is, which in turn indicates the strength of the current trend.
• The formation of a red zone - a signal to open a short position or close a long position.
• The formation of the purple zone is a signal to open a long position or close a short position.
• Also signal for entry can be considered a crossing of signal lines: fast moving average crosses slow moving average from top to bottom - sell signal, fast moving average crosses slow moving average from bottom to top - buy signal.

According to the experts of ForTrader.org magazine, the Visual MACD indicator is a very good modification of the standard MACD, which can be used in trend trading strategies not only as a filter, but also as a source of trading signals, provided that additional indicators are used.
